Batteries are becoming more efficent all the time. MIT students have created a battery which blows the socks off of current battery technology. When I was a kid I remember one of my dad’s frineds say that a battery power breakthrough needs to happen before an all electric car could be a realtiy. It also has a fifteen minute charge time.
That is the breakthrough needed. Only problem for Seattle are the hills.
A battery made from the new material can charge or discharge in about 10 minutes — about 10 times faster than the unmodified lithium nickel manganese oxide.
